Cardboard box containing 3 blisters or 10 blisters of 10 capsules.
Indications:
Goutcolcin® is indicated for:
Acute gout attack.
Prevention of recurrent gouty arthritis and long-term treatment of gout: Colchicine should be combined with allopurinol or an uricosuric drug (such as probenecid, sulfinpyrazol) to reduce serum urate levels. The colchicine prophylaxis should be given before initiating the therapy with allopurinol and uricosuric drugs since sudden change in serum urate levels may promote acute gout attack. After plasma urate concentrations have been reduced to the desired levels and no acute gout attack occurs within 3 to 6 months, colchicine may be discontinued and monotherapy with urate-lowering drugs may be continued. Colchicine is often used in combination with probenecid for prophylactic treatment of chronic gout.
Familial Mediterranean fever (periodic fever).
